GDS Inspect

See the cells, layers, bounding boxes and shape counts in any GDSII file — right in your browser, nothing to install.

Open a .gds, .gds2 or .gdsii stream and read the library name, user and database units, top cells, per-cell bounding boxes, own shape counts, and the layer/datatype list. Hierarchy includes SREF and AREF with translation, rotation, mirror and magnification. The file-size limit is 512 MB: larger streams do not fit reliably in a browser tab.

Element types counted here: BOUNDARY, PATH (width included in the extent), BOX, NODE and TEXT. References are SREF and AREF. This page does not draw the layout.

The file never leaves this browser. Parsing runs in a Web Worker on your computer. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or sent to a server.
